We are encouraging all aged 14+ to sign up for this unique opportunity to become a Referee!
Get involved in officiating the game you love and earn money. Westgate Basketball conducts referee schools for interested people wanting to become referees.
If you're 14 years or older, involved in anyway with at Westgate Basketball, you could be eligible to be part of of our Green Shirts Learn to Referee Program.
Our successful candidates will
- Attend Compulsory theory 2 sessions.
- Receive on-court training during our Saturday Domestic competition.
- Receive one-on-one coaching support.
Registration is $60 to confirm your commitment to the program. These funds will be used to purchase uniform, lanyard & whistle once qualified.
Course duration: approximately 12 weeks. must be available 5 hours on Saturdays from 8am to 6pm The aim of the program is to develop participant's skills to achieve referee Level 1C qualification
Compulsory attendance for 2 Theory sessions on
Sundays 13th & 20th October
Time: 1pm to 5pm - 3 hours Theory (in Multi Purpose room) & 1 hour on court
