Under 8's competitions

Westgate Basketball Association Under 8's Competition for Girls & Boys who are interested in playing in a team.  

AGE RESTRICTION: all who participate must be under 8 years of age during the season.  ie. if turning 8 before the end of the season date, they may not be eligible, however exemptions may be given to those new to basketball.

5 GAMES scheduled: 4:15pm, 4:50pm, 5:25pm 6:00pm & 6:35pm (30 minute games)

VENUE: RecWest Braybrook, 39 Lily Street Braybrook

COSTS:  is dependant on the club creating the team.

• Commitment to attend games each week, unless sick or away
• Payment & registration will be process via the Playhq system (This will be organised by a specific club)
• Game times will alter weekly (between the above 5 time slots)
• Games will run for 30 to 35 mins (15 minute halves) with half time free throws x 10 attempts to build up scores
• Rings will be at a lower height to normal competitions
• Teams can be mixed gender
• 2 Referee will be assigned to guide the players in the understanding of the violations & rules of the game.
• Rules will be 'relaxed' so that the players will gain understanding of the game's rules
• No Ladders, however on-line scores will be recorded out of interest to the kids playing.
