Following a period of remarkable growth, we have assembled a highly experienced leadership group dedicated to driving excellence across every level of our program. This team will not only support our coaches but also inspire our athletes, ensuring Westgate continues to set the standard for player development, team culture, and on-court success.
Kim brings more than 20 years of involvement in basketball as a player, coach, referee, plus she is also an educator. As a former Big V Championship player and team captain, she knows firsthand the demands of high-level competition, with multiple championships and national finals appearances to her name.
Kim has led coaching programs at Westgate, guiding teams at the elite VJBL level while also nurturing pathways through domestic basketball. Her refereeing career is equally distinguished, having officiated at national championships, SEABL and Big V grand finals, and mentoring the next generation of referees.
A qualified teacher with a Bachelor of Teaching, Kim combines deep basketball knowledge with proven leadership and education expertise, making her an exceptional driver of coach and player development across Westgate.
Livai brings a wealth of experience as both a player and coach, with a proven track record of developing athletes and leading successful teams. As Head Coach of Westgate’s Youth Men’s Big V program and Director of High Performance, he oversees the development pathways that prepare players to compete at the next level.
Livai has a strong reputation for high-energy playing groups. His focus extends beyond wins and losses, he is dedicated to instilling elite training habits, resilience, and leadership in young athletes.
With a clear vision for performance standards and player development, Livai plays a key role in shaping the culture of Westgate Basketball, ensuring our athletes are equipped for success both on and off the court. Outside his work with Westgate, Livai also runs his private coaching business.
Brady is an experienced coach and development leader with a strong background across domestic, VJBL, Big V and Basketball Victoria pathways.
At Ivanhoe Knights, he has delivered player development camps, coach education programs and progression initiatives to support athletes at every level. He has also coached with Camberwell Dragons and contributed to Basketball Victoria’s Future Development and State Development Programs, helping to identify and nurture emerging talent.
Holding a Bachelor of Sports Science (Sports Performance & Coaching), Brady combines academic knowledge with practical experience to create structured high-performance environments. He is passionate about mentoring athletes and coaches, driving continual improvement, and building programs that give players the tools and pathways to reach their full potential.
Jeff leads player and skills development across the Westgate program, working with coaches, teams, and player groups to strengthen fundamentals and maximise performance.
A former multi-sport scholarship athlete in basketball, baseball, and gridiron at the University of Minnesota and Eastern Kentucky University, Jeff brings over 15 years of coaching experience, including four years in the VJBL. Since 2021, he has driven skills development at Westgate while also leading his own elite coaching program, IQ Baller Academy
