As the face of game day, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and successful execution of our competitions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open and close the venue promptly
• Set up the venue, including the score bench, sound system, function area, and doorkeeper table
• Ensure the venue is safe and ready for competition
• Coordinate game night activities and competitions
• Address and resolve any issues to maintain the smooth running of the event, including ensuring spectators abide by spectator code of conduct
• Process game day paperwork efficiently
• Reconcile door takings at the end of each shift and facilitate reimbursements for scorers and statisticians

Requirements:

• Minimum age of 18 years
• Possession of a valid Working with Children’s Check
• Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and delegate effectively
• Basic knowledge of basketball
• Availability on most weekends from Mid-March to Mid-August

Working Schedule:

The role primarily involves weekend commitments from mid-March to the end of August, predominantly on Saturday nights or Sunday afternoons in alignment with the fixture.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports to the WBA Vice President.

• Setup camera equipment and streaming connections for optimal performance
• Film and capture the excitement of the game
• Ensure timely upload of the final recording
• Collaborate with the production team to enhance the overall streaming experience

Requirements:

• Minimum age of 18 years
• Proficient in using cameras and associated technology
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Basic knowledge of basketball
• Availability on most weekends from Mid-March to Mid-August

Key Responsibilities:

• Play energetic warm-up music before each game, during play, time-outs, game breaks, and at half-time
• Introduce teams, players, coaches, and referees to the enthusiastic spectators
• Acknowledge Country before each game
• Provide insightful information about the game that may not be readily available to the audience
• Promote WBA sponsors at appropriate times
• Acknowledge official guests to the audience
• Deliver authentic commentary on the game, enhancing the overall spectator experience

Requirements:

• Minimum age of 18 years
• Confidence in announcing and speaking in front of crowds
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Solid knowledge of basketball
• Availability on most weekends from Mid-March to Mid-August
